Balik Kampung-Penang/Alor Setar

2009 CNY of ours were spent in Malaysia...

As usual, we rented a Proton car from JB and drove straight back to Penang on Saturday evening (24th Jan) which we had Yuen with us. 8 hours of driving... we arrived Sunday (25th) at 2am but still not forgotten about food, we had supper i.e. "hokkien mee" & "char kuey tiow" @ Sa Por Kio (in hokkien, 小坡桥). Catched up few hours of sleep at Yuen's house in Bdr Baru Air Hitam. Before leaving Penang, we had "dim sum" near his apartment, Farlim. Best!!

The travelling hours to Alor Setar was about 1.15 minutes, we left Penang at 8+am and arrived AS almost 10am on the same day. We took a rest, then prepared for reunion dinner with family members on the eve, and went to temples passing 12 midnight for prays. So, full 3 days were spent in Alor Setar - watched TV, chatting, played cards, visited friends, cooking, cleaning and etc.

On 28th, we drove to KL to pick up some stuff from KL home and settled some bills. At 3'ish afternoon, we adjourned to Ipoh to meet up our god-sister & family, and also Yuen, Rainbow and his girlfriend who drove from Penang to Ipoh join us there....

Wanted to eat the "老黄芽菜鸡沙河粉 Lou Wong Nga Choy Kai" (bean sprout chicken rice) located at Jalan Yau Tet Shin, Ipoh town but it was extremely crowded - like 100 peoples waiting for seats, phew! We ended up having dinner elsewhere ha ha!

After dinner, we left for Penang (in 2 cars) together with Yap - where our holidays & food feasting actually starts....
