Celebrates World Water Day

22 March 2010 is World Water Day.

In conjuction with that, my company screened the award winning documentary entitled 'F.L.O.W.-the love for water' during lunch for all of us to share a touching documentary highlighted the water crisis and issues that existed in many parts of the world like South Africa, Egypt and India. Do you know.....?

• One toilet flush - uses 3 gallons of water
• A single load of laundry - uses 40 gallons of water
• 10 minute shower - uses 50 gallons of water
• Brushing with the tap running - uses 4 gallons of water

Due to over-pumping (by many multinational corporations), the groundwater in several countries were almost gone - Because it has filled up all the mineral water bottles!

If all Singaporeans save about 5 litres of water a day, it will be enough to fill more than 3,000 Olympic-sized swimming pool in a year.

Water is precious. Drink from the tap. Use them wisely!

Fun Run 2009

This fun run is held on 17 Dec 2009 @ 6:00 pm. It's a short race 6.2km, it started from Harbourfront, passed through Mt. Faber to Labrador Villa Road, made a loop at Port Road and turned back to Harbourfront. There are 16 participants.

After the run, 16 of them headed to Harry's Bar @ Harbourfront for dinner & drinks and photo snapping! Me - I took the volunteer role preparing them for the run only heee!

Yam & Rainbow

Yam (Teoh Kwang Yam) and Rainbow (beside him is his girlfriend Li Fang), they are friends of my hubby. Previously, they were worked in an engineering company in Tuas, Singapore.

Rainbow has resigned years ago and now resided in Penang. Though Yam is from Penang but he worked in Singapore, same company as my hubby. His family stayed in Penang.

Yam has ran away from work & home on 7th March 2010 because he owed $$$ to many friends surrounded him. This 2 gentlemen has an ulterior motives in this cheat or conspiracy in this matter. My hubby heard friends describing them in this way. We have also warned our friends about them.

Yam found ran away to Vietnam and Rainbow suspected missing in action, not reachable now.

If you ever spotted this 2 persons in Malaysia, please be extra careful with your money $$$.

What a weird news I have ever heard in my life!

CNY Dinner @ Shangri-La Singapore

Fri, 26 February is my company's CNY Loi Hei Dinner. It was held @ Shangri-La Singapore. The dress theme - find any national costumes you can wear that night. There's best dress awards, lucky draws and funny games to keep everyone entertained.

The dinner ended at 11'ish that night, of course I ended it with photos taking session.....

Cafe Latte @ Fika Swedish Cafe

Have you been to Fika Cafe?

Last Sunday (28th Feb), I went to Beach Road with my hubby and he was looking for fishing stuff. When he had done the purchase, we walked by a little cafe nearby - it's a very exclusive and yet stand-alone bistro around that area. We had cafe latte (caramel and hazelnut flavour) and brownie with ice-cream on top..... unexpectedly, it tasted so good - better than the cafe latte I had at Gloria Jeans or Pacific Coffee outlets, my god!
