Catch Up with Good Friend

Wow! Tomorrow is my Bangkok trip, taking another break again he he!!!

But, but...this time, I am meeting up Zalifah in Bangkok.

It is a 3D2N trip to Bangkok. I got a free hotel voucher for 2 nights stay with 2 breakfast for two pax. Both of us are taking two different flights/airlines. When arrived in Bangkok, I took an 'airport express bus' to Holiday Inn Silom. During the journey to hotel, the bus passed by a place called "Victory Monument", and I snapped this photo.

When I reached the hotel, I plan to leave my luggage at the concierge and go for praying but I was lucky that Friday, I managed to do an early check-in at 10:30 am and leave my luggage in the room instead.

After dropping off my luggage in the room, I walk to Surasak station to take the BTS Skytrain to Chid-lom station, interchanged in between the journey by changing another train at Siam station to go to Chid-lom. I brought along a map, as my road guide. I have earlier planned to do some praying at the "Four Faces Buddha" (the most famous buddha god in Bangkok) and I am happy I made it there.....

After praying, I went back to hotel to wait for Zalifah. I have also met up with Khun Warinthorn and she brought me to tour around the hotel - viewing their meeting room, accommodation room and food outlets. We had drinks and lunch while waiting for Zalifah. She arrived on time to join us for lunch eventually.

After a short rest, we ventured to the shops located in Silom street. Surprisingly, we bumped into "Na-Ra-Ya" outlet there. We have also seen few spa & massages centre - asked them for the prices and types of massages available. We chose a centre called "Silom Village Inn" and had a traditional massage for 2 hours at the rate of 330 Baht per person, yippy!!

After massage, it was already 7:30pm. We decided to hop-on a "tut-tut" to bring us to "Pak-pong". Over there, we can find stalls selling bags, watches, shoes, clothes, t-shirts, food, etc. We found another Na-Ra-Ya branch there, so we went in to buy some stuffs and also souvenirs for our friends. We went straight back to hotel after we have had our dinner there.

Pak-pong Night Market

Guess what these peoples are doing on the top of this building?

Next day (on Saturday), we went "Chak-ju-chat" weekend market. We spent many hours there, starting from 12:00 noon till 5:30 pm. The photo taken below is the car park lots next to the train station called "Mo Chit", wow!!

After visited this market, we stopped over at Siam centre (high end shopping mall) for a while (since it is an interchange station to go back to Silom/Surasak).

We had a short rest in the hotel, I suggested to Zalifah to go to "Suam Lum" night bazaar for dinner. I had Phad Thai and Tom Yam Kung, yum yum!! We also went for body & foot massage that night.

Sunday is the last day of our visit, we decided to have a better sleep and slow action on Sunday morning. No rush!! We checked-out at noon that day. We kept our luggages at the concierge. And then, we took the BTS Skytrain to MBK Mall located nearby National Stadium station.

We had about 4 hours of shoppings in MBK. We returned to hotel at 5pm and catched a taxi to send us to airport for our 8pm flight.

I felt the statues built in the airport is very unique so I took some pictures of it!

I had a good trip and enjoyable time with Zalifah.....
