靜岡縣: Gotemba Premium Outlets Shizuoka

Date: Sunday, 13th April 2008 (Evening)

We moved on to Gotemba Premium Outlets, also located in Shizuoka.

Gotemba is a famous shopping area for japanese - there are approximately 160 brand-name shops which are famous in both Japan and abroad, and about 10 restaurants available here. You can also find various types of products from fashion to sports to interior goods to sundries here....

....Towers and open squares dot the huge site. A 50-meter high Ferris wheel offers a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. I managed to snap a scene with full bloom of cherry blossoms, kirei desu (it's beautiful !).

Tonite, we are staying at Onsen (hot spring) resort (with mini market - picture above) and sleep in 'tatami'. Before we start our dinner, we are required to change our clothes to 'yukata' (see pictures of yukata wear). With the yukata, we are all japanese - having dinner together with many other japanese ka ka ka!

After dinner and rested for 1/2 hour, we went down to hot spring pool for dippings - a common naked bath in Japan. We only bring towel and our yukata. Mom and I went for 10 minutes (with 5 minutes indoor and 5 minutes outdoor). 盈盈 said each dip must not take longer than 5 minutes. If so, a rest is needed after 5 minutes. In total, how long can we dip? 盈盈 said it all depends on individual body & how long that person could take it?

When I woke up next morning, I felt so tired, maybe due to hot spring bath. Anyway, things got to move on, we had breakfast in the resort before we depart for Mt Fuji - another exciting tourist spot!
