Cooling Sweets

Another dessert I made 2 or 3 weekends ago....

Ingredients

500ml water
150g lotus seeds
100g dried longan (best!!)
50g rock sugar
30g palm sugar, red dates
20g dried sugar cane sticks
2 pandan leaves

Method

1. Rinse lotus seeds and cook together with some water until soft.
2. Pour palm sugar, red dates, dried longa, dried sugar cane sticks and pandan leaves into a pot, then cook for 30 minutes.
3. Add in rock sugar and method 1, then cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Once cool, add in ice cubes and serve.


Sugarcane

Sugarcane is sweet in taste and cold in nature, refreshing and moistening the lung and digestive system. It has curative effect against cough and cleanses the inner phlegm. The effect can be increases while uptake mixed juice of sugarcane and pear. Due to the cooling property, it is not suitable for cool base person and may worsen the symptom of the cold cough patients.
