Double-steamed dried black mushroom soup
Ingredients
10 to 20 dried black mushrooms
10 red dates
2 sliced ginger
Seasoning
Salt to taste
Method
1. Rinse the dried black mushrooms in water. Then put them into a large bowl. Cover them in water. Soak until soft. Cut off the stems and keep the soaking water for later use.
2. Rinse the red dates and cut them open. Optionally, you may pit them.
3. Put all ingredients into a double-steaming pot. Boil the water from soaking dried black mushrooms. Pour them into the double-steaming pot. You may add boiling water if there is too little water. Steam for 45 minutes. Season with salt and serve.
